Guidant Group Inc., a managed services and talent
acquisition consulting company, today announced the launch of GuidEDGE, a
unique, proprietary compensation tool designed to provide comparison information
between full-time equivalent (FTE) and contingent labor positions in major metro
areas within the 48 contiguous U.S. states.
GuidEDGE is the first-ever
web-based database that compares FTE and contingent labor positions using
proprietary data in three primary areas: pay rates, job profiles, and mark-up
levels. The pay rates are shown at a national, state and municipal level –
providing detail for 345 cities across 48 states – which provides various levels
of comparison. The breakdown of the data provided by Guidant Group is unique,
given that no other compensation tools are tailored towards contingent labor.
"Organizations of all sizes struggle with a similar
question once they’ve identified a hiring need: ‘Is it more cost-effective for
the company to hire a full-time person or a contingent worker?’" said Dennis
Kanegaye, President of Guidant Group. "GuidEDGE was developed to empower
organizations with the market rate data they need to confidently make this
decision, as well as determine the most cost effective location for the
position. GuidEDGE stands to save organizations tens, if not hundreds, of
thousands of dollars per employee hired, and more importantly, provide
instantaneous and relevant intelligence to support these actions."
Organizations can benchmark FTE rates against
contingent rates at a specific location or similar positions in different
locations. The information can be accessed based on job title or category, and
then compared against other locations. Guidant Group delivers a high level of
accuracy because all data, including pay rates and mark-ups, is validated
through the company’s vast experience and day-to-day activity on behalf of
existing customers.
GuidEDGE allows organizations to analyze the
statutory costs and helps the user understand the premium cost by providing
details on incremental costs that go into mark-up components required by
contingent staffing firms, inclusive of requirements for drug screening,
background checks, vacation time, and holiday time per diem. These costs are
then benchmarked against mandatory expenses such as FICA tax, workers
compensation and social security.
"It really helps to have one place to go for a
cross-section of compensation data," said Allison Bradlee, Manager of Recruiting
and Recognition, Ferguson Enterprises. "Since there are so many sources
providing data to the GuidEDGE system, you can trust that the numbers you are
getting are accurate."
GuidEDGE provides in-depth job descriptions that
are detailed and accurate, customized and tested in the marketplace. This
ensures that similar positions are used when comparing the hiring needs.
Jason Busch, Managing Director of Azul Partners, a
boutique advisory firm, said, "GuidEDGE brings a differentiated approach because
it’s tailored towards contingent labor, unlike other tools that are focused only
on FTEs. It provides an actionable level of detail that helps hiring managers
make more educated decisions on staffing issues."
GuidEDGE is currently available on annual
subscription / license basis. Please visit www.guidantgroup.com for more
