SearchLines, our application tracking system, to be considered for employment.
This could involve collecting personal work history, education and skills. The
data is stored in our applicant tracking system, powered by SmartSearch Online.
SmartSearch Online is managed by a service company, which maintains a secure
data center.
Access to the data that is collected
through SearchLines is limited to authorized Guidant Group staff employees and
the service company’s technical team. The information in our SearchLines
database is reviewed every six months, and records inactive for 18 months are
removed.
Cookies, which are packets of information sent from a
Web server to a Web browser, are created for users who log in to SearchLines.
The cookies from this server do not store personal information beyond a user’s
name and email address, and are removed when the user leaves the site.
The information in our Request for Information form is
collected from users who are interested in the services Guidant Group provides
to employers. The information is received by an appropriate party who will
follow up on the request.
Other Ways We Collect User Information
Guidant Group uses Web usage tracking software to log the IP address of
each individual user. This information is used only to determine Web
site usage, and at no time is there any attempt to associate these IP

SearchLines matching their search criteria. Candidates who wish to no longer
receive emails from this job search agent must login to the member section of
our site and click on the Disable Job Agent link.
Opt In / Opt Out
Guidant Group sometimes communicates with candidates through email
messages when job opportunities are available that match their skills.
If at any time you want to discontinue receipt of these emails simply
reply with a message that communicates your wishes.
If a candidate wants to cancel a job search agent they
must login to the member section of the SearchLines site and click on the
Disable Job Agent link.
Does Guidant Group Share Your Private Information?
Guidant Group does not disclose any of your personal
information gathered from our Web site to persons outside of our company with
the following exception: personal information is shared with customers of
Guidant Group who are interested in filling job positions that match the
qualifications found on a user’s resume. Personal contact information is
excluded from the resume before it is shared with the interested party.
Candidates are interviewed by a Guidant Group branch prior to presenting their
resume to potential employers.
Guidant Group may release personally identifiable
information about you if legally required to do so by law enforcement or other
governmental authority, or under advice of counsel. We may also release your
personal information to protect the rights or property of Guidant Group, to
prevent a crime or protect others from harm.
Ensuring Accuracy & Removing Personal Records
Guidant Group makes every effort to ensure the
accuracy of your records. We do not alter your information before sharing it
with third parties, except to remove any personal contact information.
It is your responsibility to keep your records with
Guidant Group updated by logging in to the member section of our SearchLines Web
site and making changes to your personal information when necessary.
If you wish to remove your record from our SearchLines
