Our Clear Assured journey
We are pleased to have achieved our 'Proud to be Clear Assured' status, an accreditation that recognises organisations following best-practice when it comes to disability.
Employee training and development has served to not only improve our team’s knowledge and confidence regarding disability but to facilitate a cultural shift in our organisation, bringing disability inclusion to the forefront of our collective mind-set.
Of course, our work does not stop here, we will continue to evolve and prioritise disability within our own organisation and will aim to influence our wider networks to do the same.
If you are a current candidate and require any reasonable adjustments to support you during the application process, please mention this to your Guidant Group consultant. We will do everything we can to help.

Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI)
As well as examining our own approach to disability, we are also taking steps to positively influence that of the wider recruitment industry via our involvement with the Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI), an independent not-for-profit group of employers and recruiters that have come together to drive change for disabled people in the UK jobs market.
As marketing and PR partner for the RIDI Awards, we are determined to turn up the heat on this issue within the recruitment sector and encourage more recruitment organisations to become disability confident. As such, we have worked with RIDI and our fellow sponsors to deliver a pro-active campaign of press releases, blogs, videos, emails, social media and much more to raise awareness of this proactive initiative specifically targeting the recruitment industry.
There are currently 7 million disabled people in the UK, but shockingly only 46% of them are employed. We believe that employers are missing out on this diverse talent pool and with research telling us that one in three disabled jobseekers have faced discrimination in the workplace, it is clear that the inclusion of more disabled people is not a diversity initiative – it is business critical.
